I am trying to configure Alpine to use my Usenet newsprovider with SSL

Anyone can help?

If your provider is using nntp over ssl, one way to do it is to define
the server as

server.com/ssl/nntp

if the ssl port is a special port, you can use

server.com:port/ssl/nntp

That was very useful thank you, I have now succeed in that, I managed
to make it work entering news.server.com/ssl

I only have two more questions if anyone can help.
1-
I am trying to find where to enter the username and password for my
newsprovider in the (C) Config screen, and I dont see it anywhere.

Anyone could point me out to the right field or screen to do this?

2-
What is the NNTP Range setting used for? Right now is on <no value set:
using "0">

In Pine you add /user=... to the servername, then you are prompted for
your password each time you connect, unless you use a passfile.

I find the help quite clear, try it.
